About 50 graduates of the Islamic Finance program received a certificate of advanced training from SberUniversity and an international certificate in Islamic finance from Global Islamic Financial Services (GIFS), which is highly quoted in the Islamic audit market.
"Our program trains highly qualified experts in partnership finance and promotes the development of this market in Russia, and we are the first in Russia to conduct it with international partners. The deficit of experts in this industry is obvious, so we plan to train more than 100 specialists within a year. It is important that Sberbank's Center for Partnership Financing and Special Projects can share with the trainees not only expertise, but also practical experience in implementing projects in this financing model," said Oleg Ganeyev, Senior Vice President of Sberbank.
Sberbank's Center for Partnership Finance and Special Projects and SberUniversity developed the Islamic Finance program together with GIFS.
From September 1, 2023, the pilot project to develop partnership financing will start in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan and the Chechen Republic.

The intensive development of Islamic finance in Russia will further increase interest in gaining knowledge and its practical application in this area.
