ChatGPT – a chatbot with artificial intelligence – answered questions along with other participants at the session "Artificial Intelligence – business maturity: real cases", which took place on May 18 at the XIV International Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum 2023".

Ramil Kuleev, Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Innopolis University, said that the university has been working on AI developments since 2014. These are solutions for industry, which, for example, help to identify product defects and can be used both in transport and on conveyor lines for quality control. There are also projects in the field of animal husbandry, medicine and others.

"Medicine is where artificial intelligence historically began at Innopolis University. We have an AI-Radiology platform that analyzes medical images using artificial intelligence. We receive anonymized X-ray images, CT scans, and MRI scans. We analyze them, give out the result that the doctor sees at his workplace. The time from the receipt of the image to us to the receipt of the result takes less than a minute," Kuleev said.

The director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Innopolis University said that AI-related solutions are already available on the international market. And it is planned to strengthen this presence. "We already have contracts and projects with the countries of the Middle East and Asia. We plan to expand our activities to India, China, Southeast Asia and others," Kuleev said. According to him, partners from these countries may be interested in projects in the areas that he listed above, as well as at the junction of artificial intelligence and robotics.
