Federal Customs Service: there are no unfriendly countries for us

"There are no unfriendly countries for us. We are ready to work with anyone who wants it. Under the conditions of sanctions, we have to work with some countries without contacts with them. And we are working with those who are not ready to support anti-Russian sanctions. These are Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan, CIS countries, China, Mongolia. We have excellent relations and cooperation along the perimeter of the country, except with the West," said Acting head of the Federal Customs Service Ruslan Davydov at a press conference at the XIV International Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum".

He said that the Eurasian Economic Union has been operating since 2010 as part of the Russia-Kazakhstan-Belarus states, and in 2015 Armenia and Kyrgyzstan joined it. Currently, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Cuba are observers. This is one of the largest Eurasian formations, and geographically it is the largest, Davydov added.

According to him, a number of issues were discussed within the framework of KazanForum. Thus, the existing agreements on the free movement of goods between the countries, the "green corridor" and the optimization of existing processes were discussed with Azerbaijan. If earlier the cargo flow through the customs border with Azerbaijan was 300-500 loaded cars per day, now it is more than 1000 cars daily.

"A protocol on the use of an electronic verification system of the country of origin was signed with colleagues of Pakistan. This will make it possible to issue documents and confirm certificates within a single window. For Pakistan, this will reduce the customs duty by 25%, that is, it will give a direct impetus to the development of supplies from this country," he concluded.
