The Agency for Strategic Initiatives supports projects aimed at systemic changes in the areas of improving the quality of life, ecology, education and training, regional and urban development, development of new technologies and support for business projects. ASI is open to establishing and promoting partnerships with development institutions of the OIC countries, and replicating its best practices.

Representatives of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives spoke in detail about the work of the Agency and the support measures which ASI can offer. At the moment, there are about 200 services, such as consulting, expertise, project packaging, assistance in overcoming administrative barriers, and others offered by ASI. The Association also created an electronic platform for business, which has processed more than 4,000 requests from various companies over the three years of its existence.

The following ASI projects were presented at the session: “Strong Ideas for the New Times” Forum - the formation of proactive people community who are ready to start implementing ideas and projects and replicating best practices; “Smarteka” - a platform for the exchange of best practices; “Tochka Kipeniya” (Boiling point) - a space for teamwork, educational and business events; “The Quality of Life Rating” - a tool for assessing the efforts of regional executive authorities to create a quality environment for the life of citizens.

Vyacheslav Rogozhnikov, Leader of the CARBONTEKS: 3D Weaving Technology project, spoke about his project of new technology development for creating composite materials, which are now actively used substituting metal in manufacturing of medical products, as well as in the automotive, power-engineering and building industries.

Pavel Kupreev, Leader of the TestU.online project, presented a program for school psychologists created by his team, which enables to carry out psychological testing of an entire class in 15 minutes, which significantly reduces the time before the start of counseling in cases where it is necessary, and facilitates the timely identification of problems in student groups. The solution is suitable for application not only in schools, but in educational institutions in general. It gained support of specialized departments and is much cheaper than foreign analogues, as well as is better than testing in the traditional paper form.

Sani Arabi, Honorary Commissioner, Director of the Malaysian Advisory Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM), noted that the organization sets itself the task of developing society and creating a full-scale system for the development of startups. He informed about startups in the field of agriculture and paid special attention to innovations designed to help farmers, in particular, concerning the development of smart agriculture and introduction of artificial intelligence for monitoring and forecasting. The long-term goal is freedom from importing agricultural products.

Datuk Fadzil Abdul Waheet, the Malaysian Digital Development Corporation Senior Vice- President, spoke about the national initiative to promote the digital economy and digital communication in Malaysia. Established in 2016, the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation MDEC is now playing an important role in creation of jobs. The purpose of the Corporation is to attract modern highly efficient digital technologies. The Corporation develops local business and tries to bring it to the international level.

Dali Zhang, the Director of the Russian office of China Chamber of International Commerce, emphasized the importance of strengthening international cooperation and trade, and noted that China has a large market, which is very specific, so a marketing strategy based on understanding the culture and habits of Chinese buyers is important. He also talked more specifically about the points which businessmen need to consider for successf entering the Chinese market, such as the localization of goods, understanding the legal environment, establishing partnerships with Chinese companies, and actively using online platforms.

Vladimir Zhavoronkov, Deputy Minister of Health Care of the Republic of Tatarstan, Head of the Health Care Department, the Executive Committee of Kazan, spoke about the current project initiated by the Ministry of Health Care of the Republic of Tatarstan, the project- leader of the Remote Monitoring System for the Pregnant Women’s Health, the project SVYAZ. The project is aimed at digital health monitoring of the population, where the main focus is on pregnant women and people with cardiovascular diseases. The goal of the project is to reduce mortality from cardiovascular diseases by 50%, and to expand the activity to the entire Russia.
