Description:

The geographical location of the Astrakhan region provides unique geographical advantages. This is an important strategic region of the Caspian Sea. The main task of the Astrakhan region is the development of the international transport corridor North-South (cargo traffic has doubled over the past year). The economic and political role of new centers of world development is growing, which leads to a reformatting of international economic relations’ matrix. Islamic countries and Russia have great mutually beneficial prospects.

Key global challenges:

  • Length of the working day increase (part-time jobs due to lack of funds);

  • Technological unemployment due to the digital economy (loss of jobs);

  • 15% of people aged from 15 to 25 years in any country, are the NEET generation (do not study or work anywhere due to political, economic and social factors).

As a trend, speakers single out the so-called new employment (freelancing, platform employment, etc.). According to experts, approximately 50% of residents are not employed in the economy of their region, which negatively affects regional budgets. New flexible instruments of interaction between education and the labor market are needed. Also, modern state is characterized by an increase in the length of the working day (part-time work due to lack of funds).

There occurred a decrease in imports in Tatarstan by 20% in 2022 in physical volume, and by 39% in terms of value. But the main economic indicators in % for 2022, as compared to 2021, are as follows: GDP / GRP in the Russian Federation 97.9 - in the Republic of Tatarstan 106.00 against the decrease in unemployment.

The Forum participants proposed a development strategy for the Republic of Tatarstan:

  • Localization of markets and access to the markets of third countries with domestic components models;

  • Ensuring scientific and production cooperation, association with large Russian manufacturers;

  • Focusing on models with maximum application of Russian components in defense and aviation enterprises;

  • Maximum use of all federal support programs.

At present, GDP spending on science does not exceed 1%, with the necessary basic costs of 2.5%.

Memorandum of Understanding on mutual partnership and cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship and business was signed at the end of the session by A.R.Shagimardanov (RF) and R.Safiullin (Kazakhstan).
