The updated office of Mir Business Bank, which operates under the rules of Shariah, was opened in Kazan with the participation of Iranian Deputy Minister of Economy Mohammad Javad Sharifzadeh.

"The activity of Mir Business Bank is a concrete example of the realization of Russian-Iranian cooperation. The bank's division in Kazan, established in 2019, is developing, its activity contributes to the development of trade turnover between the Republic of Iran and enterprises of our republic," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov.

Trade turnover between Tatarstan and Iran at the end of last year amounted to 183 million dollars, and for the first half of 2023 it exceeded 113 million dollars, which indicates a growth of 25%.

"Bank Melli Iran" (Mir Business Bank is a subsidiary of this bank) is one of the largest banks in the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is a 100% state-owned bank that provides all its services based on Shariah and Islamic law," the Iranian deputy economy minister said.

"Tatarstan is developing relations with Iran within the framework of the Russian-Iranian agenda, we are actively working with the provinces of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Talia Minullina said.

In her opinion, the opening of the renewed office of Mir Business Bank in Kazan, which works according to the canons of Shariah, is a new window of opportunity not only for Tatarstan, but also for the whole country.
