Foreign Architects are Ready to Adopt the Experience of Kazan and Russia
14 مايو“We study how tradition and modernity can be combined in architecture. What we see in Kazan — the rapprochement of different cultures — is exactly what can be used in further work,” he announced. Javad Eiraji recalled that Russia and Iran are united by long-standing ties in the educational, business, cultural, and other spheres. He expressed the hope for the further cooperation development. Ali Alraouf, architect, urbanist, specialist in sustainable development in architecture and urban planning from Qatar, expressed interest in cooperation in the field of modern museums. According to him, it is becoming the new heart of the city.
“Kazan is the city we have learned so much from. Most of the architectural projects in the city represent a combination of tradition and innovation,” Ali Alrauf said, citing as an example the new building of the Galiasgar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre, opened in 2025.
The potential of Russia and Kazan was highly appreciated by the founder of MT Architects (Egypt) Mohamed Talaat. According to him, he is ready to take part in local projects. “KazanForum opens up great opportunities for further cooperation,” Mohamed Talaat said.
Founder and Head of the Mediterranean Design Lounge (Egypt) Lilly Valaa Mohamed Ghorab said that her company is ready to learn from the experience of Russian colleagues. According to her, there is a very great potential for cooperation.
“One of the main goals of our visit to Kazan is the exchange of experience: we talk about how we create design, how we treat the environment and people, and study how it happens in Russia. This exchange of experience provides opportunities for further development,” Lilly Valaa Mohamed Ghorab declared.
She emphasised that in her projects her team primarily pays attention to people, especially to their comfort and convenience.
Elena Senkevich, Director General of the National Association of Consulting Engineers in Construction (NACEC), stated that Russian and foreign experts at KazanForum agreed that now, in the era of digitalisation, attention should be focused primarily on people and uniting them into teams.
“Both foreign participants and our experts, heads of development companies, educational and consulting organisations – all almost unanimously stated the need to focus on people. It is very important to focus on human being, because future belongs to the world of people, not the world of machines – technology should complement the human. No matter how far technology has moved forward, no matter how we digitise certain processes, it is impossible to implement any project without human participation,” she claimed.
