Yesterday, on the sidelines of the KazanForum, the 14th meeting of the Russian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation took place.
Priority attention was given to the economic agenda. Trade turnover between Russia and Indonesia has more than doubled over the past five years, approaching USD 5 billion by the end of 2025.
"The Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Indonesia, signed at the end of last year, should serve as an additional driver for increasing and diversifying trade turnover," said Denis Manturov.
The parties also addressed cooperation in agriculture, energy, transport, industry and high technology. They emphasised the importance of ensuring stable mutual settlements. In addition, an exchange of views took place on cooperation in humanitarian spheres, including education, culture and sport. The expansion of mutual tourist exchanges was assessed positively.
Following the event, Denis Manturov and Airlangga Hartarto signed the protocol of the 14th meeting of the Russian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation.
