KazanForum 2026 to Host International Horse Races
As part of the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”, the “Business on Horseback” horse races and the International Jockeys' Championship – KazanForum 2026 Cup – will take place for the first time on 16 May at 18:00 at the Kazan Hippodrome. The event will bring together top jockeys and leading horse breeding farms from Russia and CIS countries.
The Jockeys' Championship will feature representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and various Russian regions. The tournament's unique twist is a horse draw: jockeys will ride horses provided by the host side, making the competition highly unpredictable and spectacular.
The evening programme also includes eight races and heats involving around 40 horses from different regions of the country. Special attention will be on the Arabian race and the Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan, where a fierce battle among the favourites is expected.
In addition to the races, Forum guests will be offered exhibitions, photo zones and interactive areas. Admission to the stands is free. For Forum participants, shuttle buses will run from the Korston and Nogai hotels to the hippodrome and back at 17:00 and 20:40.
