Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum Continues to Expand Its International Reach
On 3 July, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency hosted a meeting between Dmitry Savelyev, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Isaev, Deputy Director of the Centre for Stability and Risk Studies at the Higher School of Economics (HSE University), and representatives of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Directorate of International Programmes.

The participants reviewed the outcomes of this year's forum "Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum" and discussed priorities for future cooperation.

Dmitry Savelyev highly praised the organisation of international events in Tatarstan. Leonid Isaev, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the Agency's efforts to broaden the Forum's international participation, particularly by attracting more representatives from African countries. Thus, this year's Forum hosted the Second Meeting of the Russia-Mali Intergovernmental Commission, a Russia-Ghana round table, and several business programme sessions dedicated to strengthening Russia's cooperation with African nations.

“We would very much like to work together to further strengthen the African dimension of the forum "Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum". Summer is the perfect time to lay the groundwork for these initiatives,” said Leonid Isaev.
