Halal Industry Workforce to Be Discussed at KazanForum
A session titled “Human Resources for Islamic Finance: How to Grow People for a New Industry” will bring together leading international experts. Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, Acting Director General of the Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI) and Chief Economist of the IsDB Group in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia); Dr. Rizwan Malik, Head of the Islamic Finance Centre at BIBF (Bahrain); and Zaurbek Saidov, Rector of Kadyrov Chechen State University, Doctor of Law, Professor, along with other industry professionals will discuss issues of personnel training for the halal industry.
Current trends and the rapid growth of the halal sector are driving increased demand for specialists with expertise in halal standards.
Tatarstan has adopted an integrated approach to training and attracting qualified professionals to the halal industry. An interdepartmental working group on halal industry development has been established to create favorable conditions for growth, including workforce support.
According to the Halal Standard Committee of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan, professional educational institutions in the republic are already training specialists in halal standards, covering certification, technology, and quality control. These include the Russian Islamic Institute, the Bolgar Islamic Academy, and the Kazan National Research Technological University.
