Sberbank and Tatarstan: from finance to ecology
Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank PJSC, spoke at the XIV International Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum" about Sberbank's interaction with Muslim countries and training in working according to Islamic banking standards.
"We conducted training on Islamic finance. We had very positive talks with different countries: Iran, Uzbekistan and others. Our Russian clients, who are also represented here, jointly participate in the work on our directions," Vedyakhin shared with journalists.
According to him, Tatarstan is one of the leading regions of the Russian Federation. "Our relations with Tatarstan are multifaceted. Besides the fact that we cooperate with the republic on the financial side, we are also actively developing the digital agenda. Our School 21 is open here, where we train the best programmers. Just yesterday, with the Mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, we signed an agreement on the introduction of artificial intelligence into the segment of services for citizens in Kazan. A large number of joint digital programs are also being implemented. Plus, Tatarstan and Kazan pay great attention to what is called ASG-topics. This is an environmental, social responsibility. Of course, the initiatives we are doing here are very interesting," Vedyakhin said.
He said that on May 18, the mayor of the capital of Tatarstan was presented with an ecological trail along the lake, where you can watch birds. The mayor, in turn, demonstrated what a system of cleaning the reservoir was equipped at the expense of herbs. "That is, the agenda is the most interesting, rich agenda, so our interactions with Tatarstan are finance, this is a figure, as well as environmental and social responsibility," Vedyakhin said.
