The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation hosted a meeting with the ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries

The meeting was attended by Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of foreign states in Russia, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Spiritual Boards of Muslims and representatives of other religious associations.

They discussed the results of the work of the Strategic Vision Group in 2023 and prospects for 2024. Special attention was paid to the special event of the Group "Russia - Islamic World: a Just Multipolar World Order and Safe Development", which will be held on May 16, 2024 in Kazan within the framework of the International Economic Forum KazanForum 2024.

The participants of the meeting were welcomed by Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum": "At present, the interaction between Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has reached the level of partnership. It is especially valuable for us that the Islamic countries in the conditions of hostile actions of Western countries supported Russia's policy aimed at preserving traditional spiritual and moral values. In addition, we can confidently say that our economic cooperation is opening up new prospects. This is evidenced by the growth of Russia's trade turnover with the OIC states. Such successes have been possible largely due to regular joint events, including the International Economic Forum.
