KazanForum will discuss areas of media cooperation between Russia and OIC countries

On May 15, a media session dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be held on the margins of KazanForum on the initiative of the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications "Tatmedia" and the Union of News Agencies of the OIC countries (UNA). The partners of the event will be the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" and the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.


The session will include two thematic blocks: "The main trends in the transformation of the information field in the modern world and OIC countries" and "Unification of the information space or its segmentation? (On the situation in the world in general and Muslim countries in particular)".
The event is expected to be attended by heads of news agencies and media companies, public and political figures, experts and analysts from Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

As a result of the discussion between representatives of the media industry of Russia and the countries of the Islamic world, proposals for a joint action plan in the global information space will be developed, and agreements on cooperation between Russian and foreign media companies will be signed.
The XV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2024" will be held from May 14 to 19 at the Kazan Expo IEC.
