Islamic Banking Experiment to be Extended to Other Russian Regions

One of the main subjects of discussion at KazanForum, to be held in May this year, will be the expansion of the experiment in Islamic banking to other regions of the country. It is currently being conducted throughout Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Chechnya, and Dagestan.
The main financial products within the Islamic banking experiment were developed by our very own specialists certified by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Head of the Strategic Vision Group noted, “Today we must focus on enhancing our co operation with AAOIFI.” According to Mr. Minnikhanov, the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”, the largest economic platform in Russia, is best suited for discussing such matters of co operation between Russia and Islamic States.
The XVI International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” will be held in Kazan on 13-18 May 2025.
