Russia and Iran Sign Memorandum on Joint Production of Microelectronics
12 MarchThe Memorandum was concluded due to the mutual interest in the enhancement of bilateral co-operation in the field of radio electronics. ‘‘In the current economy, there are no obstacles to the development of mutually beneficial co-operation aimed at the formation of sustainable production and sales chains, except for the restrictive measures imposed by unfriendly states,’’ a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stressed in a conversation with ‘‘Kommersant’’.
Thus far, such joint engagement with Iran will concern the production of lithographic equipment for printing chips, telecommunication multiplexers, various sensors for cars, etc. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, it is planned to combine efforts for joint development and production of innovative goods, as well as for entering new markets with domestic technologies and merchandise.
Trade and economic partnership and industrial co-operation with the States of the Islamic world will be discussed at round-table discussions held as part of the KazanForum. It bears mentioning that the Forum will take place from 13 to 18 May 2025 at the ‘‘Kazan Expo’’ IEC.
