Tatarstan Expanding Horizons: New Industrial Sites Abroad

Tatarstan will continue to set up industrial sites overseas. This was announced by German Lerner, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to Lerner, Tatarstan’s representative offices are planned to be established in Iran and India. The office in Iran will be launched before the one in India.

The first two industrial sites have been set up in Uzbekistan, and two more are under construction. They will be managed by a Tatarstan company. Another such project is being implemented in Azerbaijan. There are talks about building an industrial estate in Tajikistan.

The speaker noted that the Republic is increasing the volume of trade turnover with Islamic countries and likewise expanding the geography. The creation of industrial sites abroad, in Islamic countries, presents a unique Tatarstan experience, which the Republic is now sharing with the federal centre.
