Tatarstan’s Representative Office to Open in Iran in 2025

Tatarstan continues to develop economic co-operation with Iran. An official representative office of the region is scheduled to be opened in the Islamic Republic in 2025.

The work is already underway. In the lead-up to this, Oleg Korobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, discussed the prospects of such integration at a meeting with Andrey Blinnikov, Trade Representative of Russia in Iran.

According to Artur Nikolaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan, the first steps towards the development of collaborative partnership with Iran were made more than 10 years ago.

Petrochemicals, agriculture, and other industries may become promising areas of co-operation with Tatarstan. The business ties between the region and Iran today include export-import operations and joint ventures, in particular those involving representatives of Tatarstan’s largest industries.
