Russia and Oman Take Partnership to New Heights

The Kremlin hosted talks between Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman. Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, attended the meeting as well.
Following the talks, the leaders of the two countries signed 11 agreements. One of them was an agreement on mutual visa exemption for citizens of Russia and Oman.
These Moscow agreements pertain to different sectors, including:
 • Tourism
 • Trade and economy
 • Climate and environment
 • Transport
 • Control of terrorism
 • Fish industry
 • Information co-operation
 • Memorandum of Understanding between the Roscongress Foundation and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry
 • Education and science
