KazanForum 2025 to Redefine International Partnership Finance Co-Operation

On 15–16 May 2025, Kazan will host the International Conference of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), held in Russia for the first time, during the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2025”. The Conference serves as the key international platform for covering standards of partnership (Islamic) finance, bringing together representatives of regulatory authorities, central banks, financial institutions, and expert community from more than 45 countries. The Event is supported by the Republic of Tatarstan and PAO “Sberbank”.
The Conference programme includes a plenary session featuring representatives of Russian and foreign regulators and authorities, international organisations, as well as theme sessions dedicated to standardisation, investment co-operation, formation of a global Islamic ecosystem, and financial awareness. Special attention will be paid to the practical application of AAOIFI international standards and global trends in the development of the industry.
The AAOIFI Conference in Russia reflects the growing interest in partnership financial instruments as another type of financing to stimulate the country’s economic development as well as to improve the welfare of the population. The Event will mark an important step towards creating an open and sustainable financial space that is efficient at attracting long-term investments and ensuring mutually beneficial co-operation. The Conference will serve as a milestone event in building investor confidence and establishing a favourable regulatory environment for the further development of partnership finance in Russia.
