Modest fashion is not just about style; it is also a philosophy. Decent clothes reflect a person’s lifestyle and values. This fashion trend is rapidly gaining popularity all around the world, becoming a platform for connecting cultures, traditions, and current aesthetics.
The Event supports the designers working in decent fashion, thus providing them with a unique platform for sharing experience, communicating with international experts, and demonstrating the creative potential of both Russian and foreign couturiers.
This year’s unique multi-brand show Modest Fashion Day 2025 will combine folklore, national traditions, and cultural heritage of the peoples with current fashion trends and global aesthetics. The transformed catwalk will serve as a space of cultural dialogue, converging the past and the future, identity and innovation. Using the language of fashion, the Show will submerge its viewers into the years to come all the while staying connected to the roots, and will remind of the recurrence and harmony of our Universe.
Modest Fashion Day 2025 Designers’ Background:
Tajik designer Umed Kuchkaliev’s collections combine traditional Tajik motifs with modern fashion trends. His name has become a symbol of the new wave of fashion art in Tajikistan, being recognised both at home and abroad.
MIN_ZIFA (Ufa) is a brand led by Alfiya and Gulfiya Khammatovas, who draw their inspiration from Bashkir traditions. The collections combine ethnic motifs and modern fashion, creating images in which culture becomes part of everyday looks.
MARGA modest fashion (Vladivostok) is the first company established in Primorsky Krai that specialises in modest fashion. The brand combines Oriental and Asian aesthetics, thereby reflecting Vladivostok’s unique cultural position on the border of two worlds. Its main idea is decency as an expressive and progressive form of self-expression.
Modest Fashion Day 2025 will feature five brands from the Middle East and Asia, each making a unique contribution to the development of contemporary modest fashion: Aadima, a Qatari sustainable luxury brand that couples traditional Gulf heritage with contemporary fashion trends. Led by the designer Gills Manjulakshmi, Aadima actively participates in international events such as the BRICS+ Fashion Summit in Moscow, promoting sustainability and cultural expression.
Danjyo Hiyoji is one of the brightest names in Indonesian street fashion. Founded in 2009 by Dana Maulana, the brand quickly gained recognition for its affordable, modern, and progressive collections for men and women. Today, under the creative direction of Michael Simiadi, the brand continues to evolve, presenting collections that reflect the rhythm of life for a contemporary, vigorous audience. Arizai by Atiya is a Pakistani brand, founded by model and designer Atiya Khan, that mixes vogue and spirituality. Arizai’s collections merge traditional motifs with modern tendencies. The designer is known for her attention to detail and her desire to highlight the beauty of modesty in fashion.
SHEHNA HUSSAIN is a UAE-based brand that offers present-day modest fashion for women. Designer Shehna Hussain focuses on creating looks that reflect the cultural heritage of the region, combining it with current styles and trends.
Amal Al Raisi is an Omani fashion house that balances tradition and modern era. The brand’s collections capture the Arab roots and cultural heritage of Oman, creating stylish and sophisticated clothing befitting modern women around the world.
The Show will be directed by Sergey Lukovsky from St Petersburg.
