A working visit of Olga Lyubimova to Iran: on key areas of Russian-Iranian cooperation

During her visit to Tehran, Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, discussed important areas of cooperation between Russia and Iran. 
Key points of her working visit:

◽️Meeting with the Minister of Culture of Iran  
 Olga Lyubimova met with Seyyed Abbas Salehi, where the officials discussed the development of cooperation in the theater and film industries, as well as the preparation of an agreement on joint film production. 

◽️Library cooperation  
An agreement has been signed between the Russian State Library and the National Library of Iran for the development of interlibrary relations and the dissemination of cultural heritage.

◽️Creative education  
 The possibilities of increasing the number of Iranian students in Russian universities were discussed, which will open up new prospects for educational exchange.

◽️Intermuseum cooperation  
 Olga Lyubimova invited Iranian specialists to participate in the international Intermuseum Festival and interact with professional associations of the BRICS countries.

◽️Festival of Russian Culture  
One of the points of the programme was participation in the grand opening of the Festival of Russian Culture in Iran. It included an exhibition of decorative and applied arts of Russia and screenings of domestic releases.

◽️Working meeting with the Head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations  
 Olga Lyubimova discussed the prospects for cooperation in creative education and concert activities and suggested holding a reciprocal Festival of Iranian Culture in Russia in 2026.

◽️Visiting the film set  
 The minister visited the set of the TV series "Hard to Be a God." Wink and NTV online cinema project based on the novel of the same name by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.

◽️Meeting with the Head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization
The Minister held a meeting with the Head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization, Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour.

"The history of cultural cooperation between Russia and Iran dates back more than a century and is based on a solid foundation of mutual respect and respect for spiritual values," Olga Lyubimova noted.
