A Delegation from Tatarstan Arrived in Afghanistan on an Official Visit
The delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko.

During the meeting with Dmitry Zhirnov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Afghanistan, and Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation.

“Our joint work has resulted in a 25% increase in trade turnover last year. Tatarstan enterprises are implementing a number of projects together with Afghanistan. In 2023, the Russian Business Center opened in Kabul. I believe cooperation with Afghanistan can be strengthened in a number of areas such as mutual trade, agriculture, energy production, logistics, and many others,” the Minister noted.
The meeting discussion covered the areas such as construction of power plants, water supply networks, factories, supply and maintenance of trucks and helicopters, training of engineering personnel, and others.

This May, the Afghan delegation successfully visited KazanForum. There were laid the foundations for strengthening mutual ties.
