Results of the Meeting of the Russian-Emirati Intergovernmental Commission and of the Business Forum

The meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Emirati Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as the first Russian-Emirati Business Forum, were held in Dubai.
The event was attended by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov and Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who invited foreign delegations to participate in the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” and to hold the next meeting of the Commission in Kazan.
Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan listed areas where investment cooperation between Russia and the United Arab Emirates could be expanded:
• Petrochemistry;
• Mechanical engineering, including aircraft engineering;
• Creation of industrial sites;
• Agriculture and halal industry;
• The use of innovative biotechnology in food production;
• Digitalization.
A number of meetings as well as the executions of the documents also took place during the event.
