Tatarstan invited representatives of Uzbekistan to participate in the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”

This was stated by Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, during the meeting of the “Valdai” International Discussion Club, which began on March 30, 2026, in Termez, Surkhandarya Region, Uzbekistan. According to Rustem Gainullov, KazanForum is an effective platform for finding new partners and signing agreements.


The Russian-Uzbek Conference was held by the “Valdai” Discussion Club in partnership with the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Participants discussed the achievements and potential of interregional cooperation between Tatarstan and Surkhandarya.


Industrial cooperation between the two regions as part of the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Surkhandarya Region was one of the issues discussed at this session. The Agreement was signed in October 2023 during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Russia.
