2026 KazanForum to Host OIC Young Diplomats’ Anniversary Forum

On 13-14 May 2026, future leaders of global diplomacy will come together at the venue of the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”. This will be the tenth—the anniversary—meeting for the participants.
The business programme comprises four main areas: the Greater Eurasian Partnership in conjunction with the “Russia – Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group; diplomacy in the digital age; international humanitarian co operation and intercultural interaction; and “horizontal diplomacy” as a long term strategy.
The Forum of Young Diplomats, held as part of KazanForum, provides a unique platform for holding casual business conversations between staff from the foreign ministries of Russia and OIC countries. The relevant talks can be conducted outside the typical protocol framework thanks to the “horizontal” diplomacy format. Furthermore, the participants can also discuss joint humanitarian and digital projects via promoting the Greater Eurasian Partnership concept.
A special event dedicated to Tatar writers, the heroic poet Musa Jalil and Qawi Näcmi, is scheduled into the session agenda to introduce the Forum participants to the history and culture of Tatarstan.
