A Strategy for Developing the Greater Eurasian Partnership to be Presented at KazanForum

will be held during the KazanForum. The meeting will focus on building a single space for co-operation between Russia, the countries of the Islamic world, the EAEU, BRICS, the SCO, and China’s Belt and Road Initiative, as well as translating these ideas into specific projects.
Participants will discuss joint mechanisms for promoting common interests against the backdrop of the changing world order, and the role the countries of the Islamic world play in this process. Senators, State Duma deputies, Ambassadors from OIC member states, as well as representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the business community have been invited to the Event.
The Greater Eurasian Partnership was proposed by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, to serve as a unified platform, facilitating co-operation between Russia, the CIS countries, the Islamic world, China, and other major players .
“The Greater Eurasian Partnership is intended to function as a system of open and flexible co-operation, with the countries of the Islamic world taking centre stage. Today, we are moving from discussions to the practical implementation of this initiative through specific projects and joint decisions,” Farit Mukhametshin, Doctor of Political Sciences, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Adviser to the Chairman of the “Russia – Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group, and moderator of the Session, emphasised.
