UN Representative to Attend 2026 KazanForum

H.E. Mr. Miguel Ángel Moratinos, UN Under Secretary General and High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC), will arrive in Kazan to visit 2026 KazanForum.
H.E. Mr. Miguel Ángel Moratinos is a Spanish diplomat and politician who served as Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2004 to 2010. He has been UN Under Secretary General since 2018 and High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilisations since 2019. In 2024, he was appointed the first ever UN Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia.
Mr. Moratinos is one of the most consistent advocates for holding dialogues between Russia and UN bodies. He confirmed that the UNAOC retains its partnership relations with Russia and intends to expand cooperation.
KazanForum will take place from 12 to 17 May, with the business programme running from 13 to 15 May at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre
