Designers from Around the World Showcase Their Collections at Modest Fashion Day 2026 During KazanForum
13 May
Collections were presented on the catwalk by designers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, as well as from the Russian cities of Kazan, Ufa, and Chelyabinsk. The designers placed the emphasis on a contemporary reading of national motifs.
Taliya Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted the importance and the potential of the modest fashion segment. In her words, holding a modest fashion show within the framework of an international economic forum offers the chance to create a business platform for designers where they can discuss the challenges they face and address the issues of the day.
Modest Fashion Day is one of the key events in the cultural programme of the "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" International Economic Forum, bringing together designers, fashion industry experts, and representatives of the international professional community. The project is aimed at advancing international cooperation in the creative industries, supporting designers who work in the modest fashion segment, and broadening the professional dialogue between representatives of the fashion industry in Russia and the countries of the Islamic world.
