Ghana Expresses Interest in Co-operation with Russia in the Sphere of Education
21 May"Our main focus is on education. We are focusing on engineering and agriculture. Thanks to KazanForum, we are gaining opportunities for further international co-operation. It is a great honour for us," he said.
According to the Chief Executive Officer, the sphere of education in Russia is of particular interest to Ghana. The country is also considering prospects for further co-operation in the fields of engineering and agriculture.
Ghana, located in West Africa, has a population of around 35 million people. In this country with an agriculture-oriented economy, farming accounts for over a third of the gross domestic product (GDP), making it the leading sector of the national economy. In turn, the industrial sector constitutes a quarter of GDP, indicating the presence of a certain industrial base.
Taliya Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted the growing interest of African countries in the region: many of them are sending business missions to Tatarstan and are themselves initiating events aimed at co-operation.
"We are seeing a tremendous interest in Tatarstan from African countries. It began to grow after the BRICS summit: many African states started sending business missions to us, showing interest and establishing trade and logistics routes. They have finally put Tatarstan on their map. African markets, given the low base effect, are growing rapidly; many investors from the Gulf countries are investing in them, and China is also active there," emphasised Taliya Minullina.
Following the results of KazanForum 2026, the parties concluded five agreements in the spheres of humanitarian and economic co-operation.
