Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the working breakfast "International trends of foreign direct investment: the role of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)". The event was organized by the leadership of the Annual Investment Forum in the UAE and was held within the framework of the International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum".

The business breakfast is dedicated to the recent changes in the field of foreign direct investment between the Arab states, Russia and the CIS, as well as accelerating the achievement of sustainable investments in the countries.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the moderator of the meeting of the President of the Annual Investment Forum, Daoud Al Shezawi, for organizing today's event. He noted that Tatarstan participates in the forum in the UAE every year. "We are learning a lot from our partners from the United Arab Emirates, especially in the field of attracting investments, developing Islamic banking, Halal industry. We have established good relations on all issues," he said and wished the participants fruitful work.

UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Thani Al-Zeyoudi welcomed the participants of the business breakfast and noted the importance of the topics raised. "Global changes are taking place in the world today, which affect the global economy. Therefore, we see great potential in organizing such meetings. By supporting foreign direct investment, we strengthen our economic cooperation," he stressed.

Thani Al-Zeyoudi drew attention to the fact that Russia and, in particular, Tatarstan are among the key partners of the UAE. "This is my third visit to the Republic of Tatarstan and I see how dynamically the region is developing," the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade added.

Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Qatar Sultan Bin Rashid Al-Khater also noted a good trend in the development of cooperation with Russia. He stressed that regular meetings at such large venues as KazanForum contribute to closer and comprehensive cooperation in various fields.

The head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina, in turn, spoke about the investment potential of Tatarstan and outlined the most priority areas for investment.
