Forum of Young Diplomats from OIC Countries to Celebrate Anniversary at KazanForum

The 10th Forum of Young Diplomats from Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states will take place in Kazan from May 12 to 16, on the sidelines of the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”. The anniversary event’s main theme is “International humanitarian cooperation and intercultural interaction: Russia and the Islamic World.”

The business program is structured around four key areas: international humanitarian cooperation and intercultural interaction; “horizontal diplomacy” as a long-term strategy; the Greater Eurasian Partnership in collaboration with the Russia – Islamic World Strategic Vision Group; and diplomacy in the digital age.

The forum will be opened by a video address from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov. Key speakers will include Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the Duma Committee on International Affairs; Azat Kadyrov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan; Konstantin Kolpakov, Head of the Department of International Humanitarian Cooperation at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Rossotrudnichestvo Public Council Commission; Ekaterina Akopyan, Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dmitry Ivanov, Director General of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “World Youth Festival Directorate” and Dilbar Sadykova, Chairman of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Academy of Youth Diplomacy”.

“Ten years ago, we started with a very simple idea: genuine trust between countries is built by people who know each other personally. Today, participants from our previous forums are working in embassies, ministries, and international organizations – this is the best proof that the format works. This year, we are gathering those who will shape the foreign policy agenda of their states in the coming decades,” noted Dilbar Sadykova, Chairman of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Academy of Youth Diplomacy”.

A special social action dedicated to the Tatar writers – the poet-hero Musa Jalil and Kavi Najmi – will be an outstanding item on the program.
Participants will also explore the history and culture of Tatarstan, a region that vividly represents the ethnic and national diversity of Russia.

You can register for the event through https://reg.kazanforum.ru/ru/registration. Registration is open until April 30, 2026.
The full program of the event is available on the official webiste of the forum
