Longest News Ticker Record to be Set on Kazan Kremlin Walls During KazanForum
06 Maywill take place in Kazan as part of the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World KazanForum” from 14 to 16 May 2026. A 480 metre long news ticker will be launched
on the walls of the Kazan Kremlin, stretching from the Bezymyannaya Tower to the Spasskaya Tower. The project is expected to set a new record, which will be officially registered in the Russian Book of Records.
The ticker will broadcast up to date information on the progress of 2026 KazanForum;
key events within its business programme; expert commentary; as well as other platform news. The project will serve as one of the Forum’s central multimedia presentations
and will highlight Kazan’s role as the 2026 Cultural Capital of the Islamic World.
Furthermore, projection mapping will be debuted on the Kul Sharif Mosque—one of the city’s main landmarks—as part of this multimedia event. The light and video installation will combine visual images inspired by the Region’s national culture and historical heritage.
Alongside Dzen, the international multimedia company dreamlaser and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan are participating in the project. The integrated media concept aims to promote the Region’s cultural identity through modern digital technologies.
In addition, Dzen will provide real time coverage of the Forum throughout the entirety
of the Event, spanning from 12 to 17 May. A dedicated topical channel will feature news,
reports from key sessions, expert opinions, and summaries of business meetings.
“KazanForum incorporates modern technologies into its business programme every year.
We look for new ways to integrate these solutions and do all we can to contribute
to the development of the rapidly growing creative industries market. The video mapping project on the Kremlin walls further highlights the expanding role of multimedia technologies
in covering major international events, and thus reinforces KazanForum’s status as a platform that unites the economic agenda with cultural and technology initiatives,” Taliya Minullina,
a member of the Forum’s Federal Organising Committee and Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, commented.
“For Dzen, this project serves as an opportunity to move beyond the digital environment
and quite literally broadcast content onto the urban landscape. We are creating a medium where news becomes part of the architecture and urban life; whereas, by the same token,
the scale of the ticker on the Kremlin walls will underscore the significance of the Forum’s agenda. Our goals move beyond the mere prompt coverage of the events, as we are also striving to do so in a technologically advanced, visually engaging, and widely accessible way,” Sergey Tabolin, Dzen’s Director of Marketing and Communications, emphasised.
The full programme of the Event is available on the Forum’s official website.
