Olga Lyubimova Takes Part in the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Year "Kazan – Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2026"

The Event featured welcome addresses by Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum"; Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia – Islamic World"; and Dr. Salim Mohammed A. Al Malik, Director-General of ICESCO. The ceremony was also attended by Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, Assistant Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs, and Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan.
A series of performances followed, accompanied by the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra.
These included the vocal pieces "Under the Blue Sky", performed by the Kazan Children's Philharmonia Ensemble, and "The Volga River Flows", presented by Honoured Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan Tatyana Efremova and Marina Karpova, People's Artist of the Republic Alina Sharipzhanova, and the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan. Guests were treated to performances by the State Ensemble of Song and Dance of the Republic of Tatarstan – "We Are Tatars"; the Beryozka State Academic Choreographic Ensemble named after Nadezhda Nadezhdina – the Russian Maiden Round Dance "Beryozka"; and the Vaynakh State Academic Dance Ensemble – "Rhythms of the Mountains", along with many other dance and vocal presentations.
The ceremony concluded with a recitation from the Holy Quran and "Hallelujah", performed by the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan.
