The International Tournament of Young Chefs of Islamic Countries named after Yunus Akhmetzyanov 2024 will be held on the territory of the Kazan Expo IEC (cluster C). The tournament is an opportunity for young talents to show themselves and gain tremendous experience in international cooperation with famous and authoritative chefs.
The tournament differs from contests and competitions - each finalist is assigned a mentor from famous chefs to work out the dish in detail, who suggests how to make the dish as winning as possible for the final. To participate, you must submit an application with a ready-made set of three dishes (appetizer, main course, dessert), which uses at least one local product that personifies the culture of the country being represented. At the final, you need to prepare a dish and present it to members of the international jury.
On the same day, each finalist, together with a team of chefs from Kazan restaurants, will prepare their dishes so that the forum guests can taste them. There are no losers in the tournament, everyone receives a nomination, and the finalist who received the maximum number of characteristics from the jury receives the Grand Prix.

In addition, it is important to take into account the specifics of local legislation and business conduct standards.
To stop threats in the context of expanding business communications with the Islamic world, it is necessary to build relations on the principles of mutual respect, trust and honesty. It is also important to take into account the religious and cultural characteristics of partners from the Islamic world in order to avoid possible conflicts.

The new coordinates of the multipolar world have formed a new promising vector of international economic development - a reference point to the East. The countries of the Islamic world are becoming the center of a new model of socio-economic growth. Youth entrepreneurship can become the basis for high-quality mutual development of the economies of Muslim countries, and the implementation of joint business projects will help strengthen partnerships between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world. What effective communication tools exist for the business community from Russia and the countries of the Islamic world? What needs to be improved and what needs to be created “from scratch” to build effective interaction? Is it relevant in modern realities to create a general program for the development of youth entrepreneurship? Accelerated digitalization and the widespread introduction of information technologies have aggravated issues of information security and created conditions for the emergence of new risks in this area. In the context of the current geopolitical crisis, the main condition for ensuring digital security has become the ability to implement and maintain the functionality of critical elements of the IT infrastructure of private and public companies and services based on local solutions and solutions developed by suppliers from friendly countries. An important factor is the use of solutions from partners who face real-time threats that pose a significant risk to the client. Russia has faced and continues to face major attacks on key elements of its digital infrastructure, while demonstrating the availability of full-fledged working domestic solutions to protect military, industrial and civilian elements of IT infrastructure. In the current conditions, friendly countries need to strengthen the exchange of positive experiences and practices in countering threats to international information security. What information security threats do countries face in the current environment? What technology solutions have been developed to protect key elements of digital infrastructure? What areas of cooperation should Russia develop with friendly countries in the field of ensuring digital security?

Despite the changing political and economic situation in the world, relations between Russia and Qatar are developing successfully. In the first quarter of 2023, trade turnover between Russia and Qatar amounted to almost 70 million Qatari rials (1.5 billion rubles). Cooperation between countries in the investment sphere is expanding. A number of joint projects worth more than 160 billion rubles or 7.2 billion Qatari rials are being developed. Cooperation in the agricultural industry is consistently developing: supplies of Russian barley and sunflower oil have been resumed, and broad prospects are opening up for Russian producers of halal poultry and beef. Transport and logistics, R&D, as well as interaction in the financial sector are highlighted as promising areas of cooperation.
What are the new horizons and prospects for Russian-Qatari economic relations? What are the barriers to increasing investment cooperation between Russia and Qatar and how to overcome them? What support measures exist for the creation of agro-industrial, industrial clusters and innovation systems? What tools are offered to create and develop strong ties between Qatari and Russian enterprises focused on export-import activities? Will the transition to the use of national currencies allow us to diversify mutual trade?

Export of Russian halal products: a strategy for success (Ministry of Agriculture of Russia)

Organizer: Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Agroexport.
Export of Russian halal products is a promising development direction for Russian food producers and other industries. Halal products comply with the requirements of Muslim Sharia law and can be consumed by Muslims without fear of their compliance with religious norms.
For the successful export of Russian halal products, it is important to develop a strategy that takes into account the characteristics of the global market and the needs of the target audience. It is important to obtain certificates of compliance with halal standards approved by international organizations. This will increase confidence in the products in the global market. It is important to analyze the market and competitors, develop an effective marketing strategy to promote products on the global market. It is important to find reliable distributors in global markets who will help distribute the products and create a stable distribution channel.
Export of Russian halal products can become a significant source of income for domestic producers, attract new customers and expand the geography of sales. By following a strategy for success in exporting halal products, companies can increase their competitiveness in the global market.

INVESTMENTS IN COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE IN THE REGION
16 May, 10:00–11:30
Hall "Wood"
Organizer: Kommersant JSC.
Forming investment attractiveness is one of the main priorities of each region. One of the directions is the development of investments in commercial real estate.
The departure of major players from the Russian market since 2022 has affected the reduction of investment inflows into commercial real estate. Foreign companies sold 43% of retail space, 26% of office space and 18% of warehouse space. However, now the real estate market is gaining momentum. The vacant spaces were very quickly taken by domestic business, and in 2024 a shortage of space (warehouses, offices, retail space) developed.
The investment climate in a number of regions is becoming more attractive to new foreign investors. There is a need to build more innovative multifunctional complexes, warehouse space, office space, etc.
Issues for discussion:
Key areas for commercial real estate development
What legislative aspects must be taken into account by foreign investors in Russia?
Investing in warehouse real estate in Russia: current market conditions and development prospects
Effective indicators of investment in commercial real estate in Kazan
Interaction between the state and business on commercial real estate projects

Currently, Russian businesses are showing significant interest in penetrating the markets of the Arab-Islamic world, seeking to export their products and meet the growing demand for goods labeled “Made in Russia”. Aspects of trade and economic interaction between Russia and the Islamic world include various areas that attract the attention of business. There are available support measures for participants in the region's markets, which are most in demand when entering these markets. In the current realities, European markets and the markets of unfriendly countries are becoming difficult to access for Russian companies. However, new opportunities are opening up for the development of Russian exports through the placement of high-tech production facilities by domestic companies on the basis of special economic zones operating in friendly countries. Particularly attractive are the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which are becoming powerful centers of entrepreneurship, facilitated by government support, visa policy, the influx of international investment, and the population has high purchasing power. In addition, countries also provide great opportunities for the development of foreign, including Russian, companies through the implementation of investment projects. In this sense, these country areas may be the most interesting for companies specializing in the creation of high-tech production.
What areas of business are really in demand in the region? What Russian business needs to create new production facilities in OIC countries. What are the barriers and how to overcome them? What support tools are governments ready to provide to attract high-tech companies to their territories?

The introduction of mandatory certification is used by countries - trading partners of Russia - as a measure of implementation of national industrial policy not only in order to protect industries, but also in order to achieve a higher level of scientific and technological development.
Currently, technical regulation instruments are widely used as part of innovative development strategies and strategies related to the digital transformation of industry. Such tools include the development of standards, regulations and conformity assessment procedures related to digital and advanced technologies (e.g. blockchain, artificial intelligence, 5G, autonomous vehicles); the use of standardization documents, including partial consensus documents, in order to accelerate the transfer of innovations and ensure their accessibility; creation of “regulatory sandboxes”, that is, the use of flexible regulation that allows for a reduction in mandatory requirements for high-tech projects and companies.
The session is dedicated to discussing issues of bringing together systems of technical regulation and standardization, including technical requirements, in order to reduce barriers to international trade in priority sectors of the economy.
