Russia and Uzbekistan increased trade turnover to $9 billion
The dynamics of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia is on the rise, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kurochkin said at a press conference at the XIV International Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum.
Uzbekistan and Russia signed a comprehensive economic cooperation program for 2022-2026 in a number of areas, including trade, industrial cooperation, transport, energy, agriculture, communications, finance, science, education, health, culture, tourism and interregional cooperation.
In April 2022, Uzbekistan and Russia signed documents in the framework of the exhibition held in Tashkent to establish large production facilities. "We are charged with active cooperation with our colleagues from Uzbekistan, primarily in industrial cooperation," Kurochkin said.
The trade turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan grew over the year to $9 billion, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tura Bobolov announced.
"Partnership with the Russian Federation is very important to us," Bobolov said.
