The popularity of Russian culture is growing in Islamic countries

At the press conference "The role of creative Industries in the modern Economy", which was held on May 19 as part of the XIV International Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum", they discussed how the creative industry becomes a creative economy and why Russian art can be in demand outside of Russia.

"Recently, within the framework of 42 strategic initiatives, creative schools, inclusive laboratories, prototyping centers in universities have been developing in Russia. Within the framework of additional education, a whole system is being built, where students and children are already building their businesses and selling products," said the rector of the Kazan State Institute of Culture, Rosa Akhmadieva.

For example, one of the students after the show in Kazakhstan started working in the real sector of the economy at the invitation of a company from Uzbekistan. Other students become entrepreneurs and win grants, scale student projects. "Often, interest arises not in the product as such, but in Russian culture. Our brands are in demand," she said.

Evgeny Morozov, organizer of concerts, festivals and cultural events in the United Arab Emirates, co-organizer of the Dresden Opera Ball and other events, noted that Russian art can be in demand in Islamic countries.

"Our projects are building a bridge between Russia, Iran and European countries. For example, in Dubai we gathered almost a full hall with the premiere of the Dresden Opera Ball. Interestingly, almost half are residents and citizens of the Emirates, they take an active part," he shared. He added that multinational programs have become a tradition, and there will be more and more participants from Russia in such events.
