Russian Trade Representative in Egypt: “The country is focused on localisation of the production process and provides various preferences and benefits”
28 MarchThe Meeting discussed the possibility of increasing trade turnover, seeing how there is a great potential for supplying grain and fat-and-oil products. Alexey Tevanian stressed that Egypt is focused on localisation of the production process and provides various preferences and benefits.
Key messages emphasised by the Russian Trade Representative in Egypt are:
- Promising goods for expanding supplies comprise products from highly processed grain crops (starch, gluten); equipment for production and processing of hydrogen; solutions in the field of ecology and renewable energy; as well as products of transport and agricultural engineering.
- Egyptian market has a complex structure, which makes it difficult to compete in due to the different set of beliefs and social norms. However, Tatarstan’s enterprises have some advantages attributable to the similarities between these beliefs and norms.
- The country is open for investors and localisation of the production process.
