The KazanForum will Discuss the Development of Russian Regional Economies through Partnership Financing

The development of partnership (Islamic) financing will become one of the topics of the KazanForum 2026 business programme.
Currently, Russia is piloting the implementation of such financial tools in four regions: the Republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Daghestan, and the Chechen Republic. Tatarstan is the leader in terms of transaction volume. According to the Republic’s Ministry of Economy, the volume of funds raised through partnership financing increased six times in 2025, reaching 34.9 billion rubles.
“This is not a trend, but an opportunity to strengthen economic ties with the Islamic world and give our entrepreneurs access to modern financial tools,” noted Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
At the Forum, experts, government representatives, and business representatives will discuss the further development of partnership financing, the exchange of experiences from pilot regions, and opportunities for attracting international investors.
