A record number of participants arrived at the Forum of Youth Diplomats of the OIC countries

This year, a record number of participants took part in the VII Forum of Youth Diplomats of the OIC countries: more than 50 experts from 23 countries.

"This year we have a record number of participants, more than 50 experts from 23 countries. Our platform is distinguished by religious and geographical specifics," said Konstantin Kolpakov, Chairman of the Council of Youth Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The participants of the press conference spoke about the promotion of Russia's foreign policy interests, the development of bilateral and multilateral economic ties between the participating countries (including at the regional level), as well as the establishment of trusting relations with young colleagues from the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which in the future will determine the foreign policy agenda of their states.

The attache of the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in the Russian Federation, Farid Kamran, noted the importance of world diplomats on the world stage.

"Despite the fact that a multipolar world order is being created in the world, it is necessary to activate the role of world diplomats in order to make positive changes on the world stage," the attache said.

The Chairman of the Academy of Youth Diplomacy Dilbar Sadykova spoke about the initiative to work with schoolchildren. "This year we have an initiative to work with schoolchildren. One of these projects is dedicated to school diplomacy, which we plan to implement together with the schools of Tatarstan and our partner schools of the countries of the Organization of the Islamic Commonwealth. Thanks to this project, we hope that schoolchildren will get to know each other more, travel, develop their skills and languages, and shape their future," Sadykova shared.

Steven Seagal, Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Japan, also took part in the conference via video link.
