Yunus Akhmetzyanov International Tournament of Young Chefs of Islamic Countries – 2024
Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre (Cluster C)
The Tournament is different from other contests and competitions – each finalist is assigned a mentor of among renowned chefs to work out the details of the dish, giving them tips on how to make the dish for the final as winning as possible. To participate, you are required to submit an application with the presentation of a prepared set of three dishes (appetiser, hot dish, dessert) using at least one local product that embodies the culture of the represented country. At the finals, which will take place from 15 to 17 of May as part of the Forum, the participants will prepare the dish and present it to the international jury.
During the tournament each finalist, together with a team of chefs from Kazan restaurants, will prepare their dishes for Forum guests to taste. There are no losers in the tournament, everyone receives a nomination, and the finalist who receives the maximum number of characteristics from the jury receives the grand prize.
Every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., all Forum guests can come to the tournament area, where restaurant service will be provided. Here you can have lunch, drink coffee and enjoy desserts from restaurants and coffee shops.
In addition to competitions and tastings, Forum guests will be able to get acquainted with the cultural characteristics of the participating countries, as well as listen to lectures on the features of proper nutrition, watch master classes from famous chefs and vote for the best cuisine of the Forum.

Throughout the year, the Kazan Kremlin will host a traditional lecture hall: in the cold season – in the 4th entrance of the Public Offices, in the summer – in the Courtyard of the Public Offices. In 2024, the main topics of the lecture will be the family traditions, the 30th anniversary of the Museum-Reserve, Kazan dynasties, and international relations.
Fantasy Promenade “Miracle of the Sleeping Hanbika” - May 17
The performance will immerse guests in the atmosphere of history and fairy tales, and allow them to enjoy the sound of folk medieval and modern instruments. The spectators will be able to walk along the strands in the courtyard of the Kazan Kremlin's Public Offices and look into the Consistory Tower.
Museum Night - May 18
In 2024, the Night Museum will be held in Kazan on May 18. “From generation to generation. Family heirlooms.” will become the theme of the campaign. On this day, museums, art galleries and other cultural institutions will be open in the evening and at night. Exhibition halls, art spaces, art galleries, theaters and other venues will prepare special programs for visitors: excursions and exhibitions, quests and creative activities, master classes and performances.

Hockey Development Organization of Islamic Countries was established in 2023 in Kazan, Russian Federation and is aimed at mutual cooperation of citizens of different countries, cultural exchange and promotion of sports.
