Sergey Lavrov noted the role of Tatarstan in cooperation with the Islamic and Turkic world

Tatarstan is one of the leading regions of Russia in many areas, including cooperation with the Islamic and Turkic world. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting with heads of Russian non-profit organizations in Moscow.

In his speech, the Foreign Minister also drew attention to the fact that the cradle of the Turkic world in Russia is Altai and that the influence of Tatarstan is extremely important “when building the Altai Turkic format.”

In addition, Lavrov noted that “there are no nations that would be unfriendly to Russians, there are hostile governments”. Along with this, he stated the importance of non-profit organizations for maintaining stability in the country.

Recall that in 2025 will be held XVI International Economic Forum “Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum”, aimed at developing and strengthening relations with the countries of the Islamic world.
