Mr. Nikilesh Giri, Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Russia, and Ravil Akhmetshin, Plenipotentiary Representative of Tatarstan to the Russian Federation, discussed organizational issues related to its opening.
It is assumed that the post of Consul General in Kazan will be occupied by Ms.Gitika, who is currently acting as the Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Russia.
In addition, on October 9, 2025, the IT Park named after Bashir Rameev in Kazan will host the TIME business forum: "Tatarstan-India. Mutual effectiveness". This event will be the first of its kind focused on strengthening cooperation between Tatarstan and India.
Every year, high–ranking representatives of India take part in the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum". This is a clear indication of the intentions of both countries to strengthen and develop economic ties.
