District meeting of the Russian Export Center. Strategic session to outline country-specific priorities across the key directions of export support

Venue: Innopolis special economic zone

Date and time: May 14, 2:30 p.m. (actual time 4:30 p.m.).

During the strategic session aimed at outlining country-specific priorities across the key directions of export support, delegates from Russian regions indicate vital spheres for export support and developed a list of countries to build further cooperation with.

The national project titled International Cooperation and Export is one of Russia’s national projects for 2019-2024. Its next stage for 2025-2030 is currently in the works to develop infrastructure in three directions, namely the development of logistics centers, the development of port infrastructure, and the development of industrial parks and clusters of technoparks.

Oleg Radionov, director for coordination of regional programs at the Russian Export Center JSC, specified that, to understand where these directions may be required, it is necessary to take into account the opinion of regions as all companies are Russia-based. “The task is to get a feedback from regions so that they outline priority countries where they would like to have the infrastructure developed. Not to hand it down, but rather to receive proposals from [Russian] constituent members and formulate a roadmap to develop this infrastructure. Besides, this should include the names of specific companies that could use this proposal outright,” he said.
All information formulated by Russian constituent members will be summarized and submitted to the Industry and Trade Ministry to work out a plan of measures to develop overseas infrastructure during the implementation of the national project at the next stage.

“The priorities are naturally friendly countries: Africa, Latin America, Asian countries, India, and China,” Radionov said summing up the strategic session.
