Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin emphasized: "The Islamic world has always been and remains one of Russia's most important partners in the world. In recent years, these relations have grown steadily and strongly. Suffice it to say that the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has grown by 37% and amounted to more than 156 billion dollars. All capacities of the Russian economy are directed to the large-scale increase of production and services, mastering of advanced technologies, creation of new industrial capacities and entire industries." According to him, the potential is on display at the 7th International Exhibition "Russia Halal Expo," which is attended by 11 countries and 17 regions of Russia.

According to Libyan Foreign Minister H.E. Dr. Abdelhadi Lahweij, the forum reflects Russia's commitment and interest in developing relations with the Islamic world. The current forum, according to him, is a unique milestone in the development of relations and cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world and is aimed, among other things, at destroying negative stereotypes about Islam.

Under Secretary of the UAE Economy Ministry H.E. Abdulla Al Saleh shared statistics: "The market for halal products has gone beyond Muslim countries, it is constantly growing. The value of halal products and trade worldwide has exceeded $2.2 trillion, which is more than 36% of the world's population. Relations between Russia and the UAE are growing and have a long history. In 2023, the volume of goods exchange in the field of non-oil products between the countries amounted to $11.2 billion, with Russia exporting $6.6 billion worth of goods to the UAE and importing $4.6 billion worth of goods from the UAE. We are actively working to develop our trade, to facilitate the supply of halal products to our countries. We believe that this will contribute to the development of our countries' economies and the promotion of consumer production."

Director General of Islamic Chamber Halal Services Ashraf El Tanbouly said that the demand for halal products is growing worldwide. The number of Muslims on the planet today exceeds 2 billion people. The market represents a huge opportunity for producers around the world. "With its rich agricultural resources and strategic location, Russia is uniquely positioned to be the biggest player in this dynamic market. I invite you to imagine a world where halal services are available to every Muslim on the planet. This future is within our reach," he concluded.

At the end of the ceremony the speakers stamped the envelopes of the 15th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2024" and signed them.
