Ceremony of joining the International Association of Young Diplomats

Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kolpakov presented certificates of entry into the International Association of Young Diplomats to representatives of four countries.

The list of young diplomats was supplemented by: Sara Yasmin Nadir, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Algerian People's Democratic Republic; Mustajab Nur Alexander, Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation, Bagul Kerimova, Attaché of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan; Safia Ahmat Ibrahim, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chad.

While greeting the ceremony participants Konstantin Kolpakov, Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the International Association of Young Diplomats is a club that unites employees of international departments around the world. It has no political dominance.

“We are all united by a common goal - to protect and promote the interests of our countries. And we, as professional diplomats in Russia, really value our diplomatic community, since it is based on the universal principles of relations between countries, between peoples,” Konstantin Kolpakov said.

The International Association of Young Diplomats aims to unite young career diplomats aged 18 to 40 years and functions in accordance with the norms and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and international law. The Association promotes the strengthening of personal interaction between aspiring diplomats, which will subsequently contribute to strengthening ties and trust between countries and their political elites.

The 15th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2024" is being held on May 14-19 in Kazan. This year's keynote is "Trust and Cooperation." The main goal of the forum is to strengthen trade and economic, scientific and technical, social and cultural ties between Russian regions and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as to promote the development of the Islamic financial system institutions in Russia.
