One of the key tasks for all Chambers of Commerce and industry over recent years remains the development and diversification of commercial services for business. They launch annually over 50 unique projects that subsequently shape up as best practices and can be replicated both at regional and municipal levels. At present, in some spheres of activity the Russian CCI almost every year establishes best practices aimed at developing and improving the operation of chambers of commerce and industry.

In 2022, the biggest volume of commercial services was in the area of business mission, exhibition and congress management, educational and evaluation activities, and the development of new types of expertise. Moreover, there is a significant volume of other service categories, i.e. new projects that the CCIs initiate and launch in the regions.

During the session, the President of the Moscow CCI Vladimir Platonov stressed that the specificity of each region shall be taken into account in the CCIs’ work. The Chambers of Commerce and Industry in different regions shall exchange experience and the most efficient practices.

The President of the Orel Region’s CCI Svetlana Kovaleva noted that an important factor in the competitiveness of this region is its infrastructure potential that distinguishes the Orel Region from competitors being an important entrepreneurial activity indicator. The region develops industrial tourism within the framework of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives’ “Open Industry” Accelerator.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Union of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Vadim Kim defined its key mission as facilitation and assistance to promote business in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, integrate it into Russian and global economic activities, and create a favourable environment for the development of entrepreneurship. The CCI of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic uses its capabilities to help implement projects for the promotion of companies in the domestic and foreign markets, advocate the interests of business community at the state level, and contribute to the development of key areas of business activity in the region.

The Executive Director of the Leningrad Regional CCI Igor Muravyev in his speech focused on the necessity to develop in Russia the concept of a green agenda. The transition to circular economy is only possible with the collaboration between government and business. An important role also belongs to the media that can help establish the culture of green economy across the country.
