Description:
The concept of phygital and “Games of the Future” international tournament were presented for Russian and international audiences. Phygital tournaments take place at the junction of two universes – physical and virtual sports. The games of such a format contribute to the harmonious development of modern young people and match their range of interests. “Games of the Future” find an impressive response from esports players, students and schoolchildren, as the speakers repeatedly said.
As of today, there are 4 “challenges” in phygital sports: Sports, Tactics, Strategy, and the so-called Speed Run. Each of these 4 virtual areas has analogues in physical sports.
The idea of “Games of the Future” originated from a year-and-a-half analysis of the development trends of modern youth. The first international phygital games involving athletes from more than 100 countries will be held in February 2024. Remarkably, the idea of “Games of the Future” was first voiced in Kazan in 2021, and Kazan is the host city of the first international event.
