Alenka chocolate has officially become halal chocolate

Russia's largest confectionery holding company United Confectioners has received a halal certificate for some of the products of the Krasny Oktyabr factory. It is noted that it was issued, in particular, for serial production of candies "Alenka", "Grilyazhnye", "Kozinachki with salt", "Bird's milk", chocolate "Alenka", bitter chocolate "Babaevsky Elite".

Alexey Orlov, Managing Director of the holding, noted that the Russian market of halal products is "dynamically developing and has a wide potential for the confectionery industry."

"Certification will allow us to increase the volume of production of halal products and strengthen consumer confidence in confectionery products of the Krasny Oktyabr factory," he said.

According to him, the factory fully complies with strict requirements to the organization of the production process and the quality of certified products, which allowed it to be the first in Russia to pass the certification procedure and receive the mark of conformity "Halal. Certified by Roskachestvo".

Confectionery products complying with halal standards must not contain components not allowed by Islamic norms.
